Pallet filling machine with reliable bunghole location

For almost 20 years Feige has been fitting its liquid filling equipment for liquid and pasty products with patented camera system. For fully automatic filling the camera system automatically locates the bungholes of the containers on the pallet. Any type of container can automatically be filled – ranging from the 20 l can up to the 1000 l IBC. Many years of experience with different fields of application helped the Feige engineers to continuously develop the camera system which has always been adapted to the latest state-of-the-art in sensor and image processing technology.

This development of the patented camera system is incorporated in the innovative Feige pallet filler type 37. Thus, this machine is the first automatic pallet filler offering the proven “Plug & Fill” concept.

“Plug & Fill“ is the Feige concept to integrate all components of the electric and pneumatic control into the machine and to set the machine into operation directly after mains supply and compressed air have been connected. In this way, extensive installation and commissioning work on site can be omitted.

The positions of the filling openings – from 20 l to 1000 l IBC - are automatically located by a camera system and the pallet filler automatically fills the containers one after the other and approved for verification. Of course, the development of the previous Feige system recognises whether the containers are open or closed. And the camera system will not be influenced by dirt, labels or water stains on the container head. This makes the system most suited to several fields of application, even in hazardous area and will lead to remarkable increase in productivity. The camera system is also suited to remote maintenance. Feige is able to configure new container types or particular applications for the customer – worldwide and cost-effective.

Thus, the filling experts at Feige use a well-proven system with highest pixel resolution providing exact and safe positioning of tools during filling.

The innovative “Plug & Fill“ pallet filler type 37 offers a sophisticated, quick and safe matrix technology to fill most different types of containers. A fork lift truck places a pallet with the empty and open containers on a pit scale platform. After the START button is pressed the full image camera system identifies the coordinates of the filling openings. The three positioning systems (for x-, y- and z-axis of the filler) automatically position the filling unit to the calculated coordinates and filling is started. The operator will only be prompted to change the pallet. Thus, the system offers highest productivity in production.

The construction and the construction dimension of the automatic pallet filler even enable the filling of several layers and the filling of incomplete pallets.

As usual, the innovative Feige pallet filler is a gravimetric system where filling is controlled by the well-proven Feige weigh scale.

Palettenfüllautomat Typ 37 mit sicherer Spundlocherkennung

Seit annähernd 20 Jahren rüstet „Feige Filling“ Abfüllanlagen für flüssige und pastöse Produkte mit einem patentierten Bilderkennungssystem aus.
Für die vollautomatische Abfüllung erkennt diese Technik die Position der Spundlöcher der auf einer Palette stehenden Behälter selbständig. Vom 20 Liter-Kanister bis zum 1.000 Liter-Container können alle Gebindeformen automatisch befüllt werden.
Aufgrund der zahlreichen Anwendungserfahrungen, die das Ingenieurteam aus Bad Oldesloe in den unterschiedlichsten Projekten sammelte, wurde das Bilderkennungssystem kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt und stets dem neuesten Stand der Sensor- und
Bilderkennungstechnik angepasst.

Diese Weiterentwicklung des patentierten Bilderkennungssystems baut „Feige Filling“ in den innovativen „Plug & Fill“ - Palettenfüllautomat Typ 37 ein.
Sie ist damit die erste automatische Palettenfüllmaschine mit dem bewährten „Plug & Fill“ Konzept.
„Plug & Fill“ ist das Feige-Konzept alle Komponenten der elektronischen und pneumatischen Steuerung der Automaten direkt in die Maschine zu integrieren um die Maschine nach dem Aufstellen und dem Netz- und Druckluftanschluss unmittelbar in Betrieb zu nehmen.

Aufwändige Installation und Inbetriebnahmen beim Betreiber gehören der Vergangenheit an.

Selbständig erkennt die Anlage die Einfüllöffnungen der auf einer Palette stehenden Behälter - vom 20 Liter-Kanister bis zum 1.000 Liter-Container - und befüllt diese Gebinde automatisch und eichgenau. Die Weiterentwicklung des bisherigen Feige-Systems bemerkt natürlich, ob die Gebinde offen oder verschlossen sind. Sie lässt sich nicht von Schmutz, Wasserflecken oder Etiketten auf den Gebindeoberseiten beeinflussen. Damit ist das System mit höchster Betriebssicherheit - auch im Ex-Bereich - einsetzbar und verbessert die Produktivität im Produktionsprozess erheblich. Die Bildverarbeitung kann außerdem fern gewartet werden.
Feige ist hier in der Lage, neue Behältertypen oder spezielle Anwendungen für den Kunden weltweit kostengünstig einzurichten.

Somit setzen die Abfüllspezialisten bei Feige ein praxiserprobtes System mit höchster Pixelauflösung ein, das die genaueste und sicherste Positionierung der Fülleinheit beim Abfüllvorgang sicherstellt.

Der innovative „Plug & Fill“ Palettenfüllautomat Typ 37 bietet eine ausgereifte, schnelle und sichere Befüllung unterschiedlichster Gebinde mit Hilfe der Matrix-Bilderkennungstechnologie. Die Paletten mit den leeren, geöffneten Gebinden werden mit einem Gabelhubwagen auf eine im Boden eingelassene Waagenplattform aufgegeben.

Nach Betätigung des Starttasters erfolgt die Ermittlung der Koordi¬naten der Einfüllöffnungen mittels Vollbild-Kamerasystem. Über die auf einem gemeinsamen Grundrahmen angeordneten X- Y- und Z-Achsen der Maschine wird die Fülleinheit automatisch zu den ermittelten

Koordinaten positioniert und der Füllvorgang eingeleitet. Erst zum Palettenwechsel muss der Bediener wieder aktiv werden. Damit erreicht das System ein Höchstmaß an Produktivität im Produktionsprozess.

Die Konstruktion und Baumaße der Automatischen Palettenfüllmaschine ermöglicht ein mehrlagiges Befüllen sowie die Befüllung von Restpaletten.

Wie immer handelt es sich bei dem innovativen Palettenfüllautomat um eine gravimetri¬sche Abfüllanlage, bei der die bewährte Feige Waage zum Einsatz kommt.
